Thanksgiving back in Utah. It has been 6 years since we have had Thanksgiving here. We celebrated this year at the Larry and Karen house. We had a wonderful feast, fun playing games, talking, sleeping, football, and all of those other wonderful traditions. When it came time for the blessing on the feast, Larry took charge and said okay, we are going to say a blessing. Lola spoke right up,"I'll give the blessing!" So Larry let Lola take over. I was a little concerned since it is tradition for the Patriarch of the family to offer the blessing. But Lola's sweet prayer left all of us in tears. She blessed everyone, and the food, and most importantly gave thanks. There were almost 20 of us there. She didn't want any help. She just gave the sweetest most heartfelt prayer. Wow, how can you not help but just be impressed by that sweet little girl. We have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving season. We had just learned that the IVF had worked and had seen one little heartbeat on the ultrasound the day before, what a miracle. Just as equally, Lola is the other big miracle in our lives. She makes me grateful for our trials in infertility!!! Without our trials of infertility we would not have Lola Belle, and Lola Belle makes everything worth it.
